The agreement
01Who we are and what these terms cover#
Nordcut Studio is operated by Nordhaven LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States. These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Nordhaven LLC for the website at nordcut.studio, the client portal, the review links we send, and the editing service sold through them.
“We”, “us” and “Nordcut Studio” mean Nordhaven LLC. “You” means the business that applies for, buys or uses our service, and anyone using it on that business’s behalf. By applying, creating an account, sending us footage, approving a cut or paying an invoice, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you sign a separate client agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two disagree.

02What we do#
Nordcut Studio is a short-form video editing agency. You get one editor dedicated to your videos, full-time (40 hours a week) or half-time (20 hours a week). You send raw footage and reference styles through your portal, the editor cuts as many videos as those hours allow, and you review and approve every cut.
We recruit the best editors in emerging markets and pay them well by local standards. We choose the editor, we manage them, and we may replace them. Editors work for us, not for you.
We edit. We do not write scripts, film, publish, run ads or manage accounts unless we have agreed to in writing. We do not promise any result: views, sales, followers and how a platform treats your videos depend on your content, your audience and the platforms, none of which we control.
Hours measure the editor’s time, not a number of videos. How many videos fit in a month depends on their length and complexity. Unused hours do not carry over to the next month.
Working together
03Price, payment and cancelling#
The price is the one shown on nordcut.studio when you apply, or in your client agreement. At the time of writing it is $1,500 a month for a full-time editor and $750 a month for a half-time editor, in US dollars. We never charge per video.
We invoice at the start of each month, in advance. Invoices are due within 10 days. A part month is charged for the days used. If an invoice is late we may pause the work until it is paid. Prices exclude any tax you owe where you are; we do not charge VAT.
The agreement runs month to month. Either side can end it with 30 days’ notice in writing; an email is enough. You pay for the notice period and keep every finished video. We may end it sooner if you do not pay, break these terms, or ask for content we refuse (see section 4). Months already started are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
We may change our prices with 30 days’ notice. Continuing after the new price takes effect accepts it.
04Your content is your responsibility#
You are responsible for everything in your videos. That includes the footage, music, sounds, voices, images, logos, fonts, text, captions, products and claims you provide or ask us to add, and for having the right to use them wherever you publish.
In plain words
Nordcut Studio does not check rights, licences or clearances. If a song, sound, clip, image, font or anything else in a video is copyrighted, trademarked, or needs a licence or someone’s permission, getting that right is your job, not ours. By approving a cut you accept everything in it.
In particular, you confirm that:
- you own, or have a licence for, every file you send us and every element you ask us to include;
- any music or sound in your videos is licensed for your use on every platform you publish to. That includes trending audio and sounds taken from the platforms themselves, whose licences are often limited to personal, non-commercial use;
- everyone who appears or speaks in your videos has agreed to it;
- your videos and the claims in them follow the law and the rules of the platforms you post to, including advertising rules, sponsorship disclosures, and the rules on health, financial and other regulated claims.
Where an editor suggests or sources an element, such as a stock clip, a track, a sound effect or a font, we do so as a convenience. It is still your responsibility to check and clear it before you publish. Tell us if you do not want us to add anything you did not send us.
If a copyright claim, takedown, strike, demonetisation, fine or lawsuit comes from your content, you deal with it, and you cover any cost, loss, damages or legal fees it causes Nordhaven LLC or its editors. We may decline or remove anything we believe is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that would put us or our editors at risk.
05Finished videos and your files#
Finished videos belong to you once the month they were made in is paid for. Until then they are ours. Our own tools, templates, presets, project files and ways of working stay ours.
We may show finished videos in our portfolio and as examples of our work, unless you tell us in writing not to.
Your original files are kept in cloud storage while you are a client. The playback copies on review links are temporary and expire. Keep your own copies. We may delete your files 90 days after the agreement ends, and we are not responsible for files lost after that or for files you did not keep yourself.
06Our editors#
We choose the editor, manage them and may replace them. You direct the work through the portal and keep your feedback about the work.
You may not hire a Nordcut Studio editor, or work with one directly or through someone else, while the agreement runs and for 12 months after it ends. Doing so costs a fee of $2,500 for each editor, which both sides agree is a fair estimate of what it costs us to recruit and train a replacement.
07Your account and the portal#
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Anyone with access to that inbox can get into your workspace, so keep it safe and tell us at once if you lose control of it. You are responsible for what is done through your account and through the review links you share.
Use the portal only for the service. Do not upload anything unlawful or anything you have no right to share, do not try to break into or interfere with the service, and do not scrape, copy or resell it.
We try to keep the site and portal available, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or take down parts of them.
Legal
08No warranties, and our liability#
We promise to do the editing with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, the service is provided as is, and to the fullest extent the law allows we make no other warranties, express or implied, including that the videos will perform, that they fit a particular purpose, or that any content in them is cleared for use.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Nordhaven LLC, its owners, staff and editors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, or actions a platform takes against you (bans, strikes, demonetisation, removed ads), however caused.
Our total liability to you for everything arising from this agreement is capped at the fee you paid us for the month in which the problem arose. Where the law does not allow a limitation or exclusion in this section, it applies as far as the law allows.
09Law and disputes#
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and both sides accept their jurisdiction.
Before either side goes to court, write to the other and allow 30 days to work it out. Most problems are solved with an email to hello@nordcut.studio.
10Changes, the whole agreement, contact#
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new effective date, and we email clients about material changes. Continuing to use the service after that date accepts them.
These terms, your client agreement and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stands. We may transfer this agreement to a successor of our business; you may not transfer it without our consent. Nothing here makes either side the other’s partner, employee or agent.
Questions go to hello@nordcut.studio, or by post to Nordhaven LLC, 312 W 2nd St, Unit A2299, Casper, WY 82601, United States.
