02The short version#

  • We collect what we need to run an editing agency: your contact details, your company, your account, the videos you send us and the comments on them.
  • We do not sell your data. The site runs no analytics; our landing, apply and free-edit pages load the Meta pixel to measure how our ads perform.
  • A small number of providers (hosting, database, email, file storage, Slack, e-signatures) process data on our instructions.
  • Our editors see your footage and your videos. That is the service.
  • You can see, correct, export or delete your data by emailing hello@nordcut.studio.

What we collect

03What we collect, and when#

You apply to work with us

Your name, email, phone number, company, company registration number, country, team size, a social media account if you give one, and the package you chose.

You become a client

Your company name, logo and brand colour, the names and emails of the people you give access to, your billing details, invoices and payment status, and the agreement you sign.

You use the portal

The videos and files you upload, your reference styles and briefs, your comments and approvals, and technical records of each request (IP address, browser, time).

You open a review link

The name you type, your comments and drawings on the video, and your email if you sign in.

You apply for a job

Your email, your answers to the application, your trial task and your notes on it, and where you saw the posting.

We contact you about our service

Business contact details we found publicly or that you shared with us (name, role, company, email, website), the emails we sent, and whether you replied.

We do not collect payment card numbers on our site, and we never ask for passwords. You sign in with a one-time code.

04Your videos#

The footage you send us may show people, products, places and voices. You decide what is in it, and you are responsible for telling the people in it and having their permission (see our Terms of Service).

Your editor and our staff see your footage and your videos, because that is the work. Originals are kept in cloud storage while you are a client. The playback copies and stills used on review links are temporary and expire on their own.

We do not use your footage to train AI models, and we do not publish it. Finished videos may appear in our portfolio unless you tell us not to.

05Cookies and local storage#

Your browser keeps a few things locally so the site works: your sign-in token, your light-or-dark choice, and the review player’s volume and view settings. Staff connecting our Google Drive get one short-lived cookie that secures that connection.

Our landing page and the apply and free-edit pages load the Meta pixel. It sets a cookie and tells Meta when someone views one of those pages, applies, or books a call, so we can measure how our ads perform. It never runs on your portal, a review link, or anywhere else on the site. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for what it collects.

Our email provider tells us whether an email we sent was delivered or bounced.

How we use it

06Why we use it#

  • To provide the service: edit your videos, run your portal, send review links, and answer you.
  • To sign you in, keep your account safe, and stop abuse.
  • To invoice you and keep the records the law requires.
  • To tell businesses about our service, and to stop when they ask.
  • To hire editors.
  • To fix problems with the site and portal.

07Who sees it#

We do not sell personal data. We share it with the providers below, who process it on our instructions, and with our editors, who need your footage and videos to do the work. We may also share it with accountants, lawyers, a buyer of our business, or the authorities where the law requires.

08Where data lives and how long#

We are a US company and our providers run in the United States and other countries. Our editors work from other countries too. Your data therefore leaves the country you are in. If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland, these transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and our providers’ own safeguards.

09Security#

Data travels encrypted, sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, files are reachable only through short-lived signed links, and access is limited to the people who need it for the work. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Your rights

10Your rights, children and contact#

Email hello@nordcut.studio to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted. You can also object to our use of it or ask us to stop contacting you; one reply to any of our emails is enough. We answer within 30 days. We keep the records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Our service is for businesses, and not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about children; tell us if you think we have.

We may update this policy. The new version is posted here with a new effective date, and we email clients about material changes. Our Terms of Service describe the rest of the agreement between us.
